Spring in 2023, I got Grand-Prix of SAUNA WALL Contest for hot spring facility.
The theme is about "Images to watch slowly while soaking in a hot spring"

This public bathhouse is a rare place in Tokyo where tattoos are allowed,

The owner's philosophy is based on respect and understanding for tattoos, which have been passed down as symbols of various professions and ethnic groups in Japan and abroad, and he does not distinguish between customers with and without tattoos.

People from all over the world who come to Tokyo to enjoy the murals while relaxing in the hot water.
What kind of painting would be perfect for such a situation? That was the starting point of my idea.

I was conscious of the fact that while paying homage to traditional Japanese ukiyo-e, I wondered if it would be possible to express it in a modern, graphical approach.
